Day 1 : Arrival in Shimla – Drive to Kalpa

Your journey begins from Shimla, driving through the breathtaking Kinnaur Valley. Witness the mesmerizing views of the Sutlej River and apple orchards along the way. Stop at Sarahan to visit the ancient Bhimakali Temple before reaching Kalpa, where you’ll be greeted by the majestic Kinnaur Kailash peaks.

After breakfast, begin your drive into the rugged terrain of Spiti Valley. Pass through Nako Village, famous for its serene Nako Lake. Continue towards Tabo, home to the 1,000-year-old Tabo Monastery, known for its ancient murals and paintings. Spend the evening in a cozy guesthouse in Tabo.

Start your day with a visit to Dhankar Monastery, perched dramatically on a cliff with breathtaking valley views. Proceed to Kaza, the cultural and commercial hub of Spiti. Visit the Key Monastery, the largest in Spiti, before heading to the remote Kibber Village, one of the world’s highest inhabited villages. Enjoy a peaceful evening in Kaza.

Today, explore some of the most remote and scenic villages of Spiti. Visit Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office, where you can send a postcard to your loved ones. Next, head to Komic, the highest motorable village in the world, before exploring Langza, known as the fossil village with a stunning Buddha statue overlooking the valley. Return to Kaza for a warm and comfortable stay.
